This Privacy Policy describes how Ride Goal Tracker (“the App”) handles information. It is written to match the data practices you declare in Google Play Console Data safety. If you change permissions or data handling in the App or in that form, this policy must be updated at the same time so both stay identical.

1. Who we are

Ride Goal Tracker is a local overlay counter for tracking ride or work goals (tap to count, hold to reset, drag to move). It is provided by AppGameCooker.

2. Data we collect

The App does not collect personal data. It does not create accounts, does not require a login, and does not send your information to our servers.

Settings and counters are stored only on your device (Android SharedPreferences), for example:

  • counter values, labels, and targets
  • display format, button size, colors, and background opacity
  • language
  • whether how-to tips were shown
  • optional second-counter settings

We do not collect, share, or process: name, email, phone number, location, contacts, files, photos, payment data, device identifiers for advertising, or app activity for analytics.

We do not use advertising SDKs, analytics, crash reporting, or location services.

Play Console Data safety (must match this policy): data is collected only on the device; it is not shared with third parties; it is not used for advertising or analytics. Declare overlay, notifications, and foreground-service use only as app functionality, not as data collection of personal information.

3. Permissions (why they exist)

These permissions are used only to run the App. They are not used to collect or transmit personal data.

Display over other apps (overlay)
Show the floating counter on top of other apps. The App does not read other apps’ content.
Foreground service
Keep the overlay running while you use other apps, with a persistent notification.
Notifications (Android 13+)
Show that the counter is running and let you stop it from the notification.
Vibrate
Short vibration when the counter is reset by a long press.

You can revoke overlay and notification permissions in system settings. Without overlay permission the floating counter cannot run.

4. Sharing

We do not sell or share your data with third parties. The in-app Share action only opens your device’s share sheet with a Play Store link; we do not receive who you share with.

If Android Auto Backup is enabled on your device, Google may back up app settings with the rest of your device backup. That is controlled by your Google/Android backup settings, not by a server of ours.

5. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect children’s data.

6. Data retention and deletion

Data stays on the device until you clear the App’s storage or uninstall it. Uninstalling removes local settings and counts.

Since we do not collect or process personal data, GDPR/CCPA data subject rights (access, deletion, portability) do not apply, as there is no data to access or delete.

7. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of Romania.

8. Changes

We may update this policy if the App or our data practices change. When we do, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page.
