Last updated: 04 Apr 2026 1. About & Manifesto VoiceSeal is an "Offline-First" voice recording tool built by a solo indie developer. Our philosophy is simple: No cloud. No compromise. In a world where every app wants to upload your data, sync to a server, or track your behavior — VoiceSeal does none of that. There is no account to create, no login required, no background sync, and no internet connection needed. Ever. Your recordings are yours. They live on your device, in your hands, under your control. 2. Data Collection & Privacy VoiceSeal collects absolutely no data of any kind. Zero Internet Permission: The app does not request or use internet access. No Analytics: We do not use Firebase, Google Analytics, or any third-party tracking SDK. No Ads: There are no advertisements. No ad network has access to your device. No Account Required: No registration or personal information needed. Local Storage Only: All recordings are saved to the /Recordings/ folder on your device. They never leave your device unless you explicitly share them. We do not collect your data because we architecturally cannot — the app has no connection to any external service. 3. Permissions Used VoiceSeal requests the following device permissions: Microphone: Required to record your voice. Audio is saved locally and never transmitted. 4. User Control & Data Management You are in full control of your data at all times. Trash Bin: Deleted recordings are moved to a Trash Bin and can be recovered. Emptying the Trash Bin permanently removes files from your device. Auto-Delete: If enabled, recordings older than your chosen period (30, 60, or 90 days) will be automatically and permanently deleted from your device on app launch. Reset All Data: The settings menu includes a "Reset All Data" option that permanently deletes all recordings and resets all preferences. This action is irreversible. All data management actions are performed locally on your device. No data is sent anywhere. 5. In-App Purchases VoiceSeal offers optional in-app purchases to support the developer. These are voluntary contributions and can be made at any time. All purchases are securely processed by Google Play. VoiceSeal does not collect or store any payment information. All transactions are subject to Google Play's terms of service. 6. Disclaimer of Liability VoiceSeal is provided "as-is" without any warranties, express or implied. No Guarantees: While every effort is made to ensure stability and reliability, the app may contain bugs or experience crashes. Data Loss: The developer accepts no responsibility for any loss of recordings, file corruption, or data damage caused by app errors, device failure, storage issues, or any other circumstance. Device Compatibility: Performance may vary across Android devices. The developer does not guarantee identical behavior on all hardware configurations. Audio Focus Behavior: VoiceSeal manages audio focus during recording sessions in accordance with standard Android system behavior. When a recording begins, the app may request audio focus, which can cause other media (such as music or video playback) to pause. Upon completion of a recording session, audio focus is released back to the operating system. The resumption of any third-party media playback after recording is controlled entirely by the operating system and the respective third-party applications — not by VoiceSeal. The developer accepts no responsibility for any audio playback behavior of third-party applications before, during, or after a recording session. By using VoiceSeal, you acknowledge and accept that the safety, backup, and management of your recordings are entirely your own responsibility. 7. User Conduct & Legal Responsibility VoiceSeal is designed strictly as a personal productivity tool — for recording your own voice, your own ideas, your own content. That's it. Recording any other person or persons without their explicit knowledge and consent is solely and entirely your responsibility. You are legally and morally accountable for ensuring your use of VoiceSeal complies with all applicable local, national, and international laws — regardless of your location, the location of the recorded person or persons, or the platform on which the recording is used or shared. The developer does not condone, support, or take any responsibility whatsoever for any such use. Any and all legal, civil, or criminal consequences arising from the misuse of this app fall entirely and exclusively on the user — not the developer. 8. Changes to This Policy We reserve the right to update or modify this privacy policy at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. It is your responsibility to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your full acceptance of the revised terms. 9.
